Applying for a job

I’ve found the perfect role, how do I apply?

All of our roles require a completed online application form so that we can keep a close eye on the progress of your application. This process is really quick and easy and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

When will I hear back about my application?

Thank you for your application! We are committed to contacting all applicants as soon as possible however, it is difficult to give an accurate timescale. You can log-in to your Priory Careers account at any point to see the progress of your application.

Do you have a paper application form I can use?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide paper application forms. For the best possible candidate experience, our online application process allows you to see exactly where your application form is in the recruitment process. You can even book and cancel interviews to suit you.

I don’t have a CV, how can I apply?

Our online application form requires a file to be uploaded to the CV field – for example: a PDF, Word document, or JPEG.

Our team would be happy to accept a cover note in place of a CV – for example: containing details of relevant experience, or a note stating why you would like to be considered for the role.

Uploading a document or image file to the CV field will allow you to finish the application process to be contacted by our team.

I can’t complete my application, what can I do?

When you begin an application, you will create log-in details upon registration and you can use these to access your candidate profile to complete any outstanding applications.

Preparing for your interview

I am nervous about my interview – do you have any tips to support me?

Congratulations on your interview! These feelings are only natural and completely normal. Just remember to be yourself and we will guide you through every step of the recruitment process and provide additional support if you need it. The recruitment team are also on hand to support you with reassurance and to answer any questions you might have.

Who do I send my ID to?

Upon booking an interview, you will be given a guidance document regarding the types of ID and at one point in the recruitment process these need to be checked.

Starting your new role

When can I start work?

Due to our sector, we ensure that all of our colleagues meet the required compliance checks before starting their role, you can check on your onboarding progress by logging into your account and this information will be shown within your onboarding portal.

Why is the process taking so long?

As we are a regulated organisation, we need to ensure that all relevant checks have been taken to ensure our patients safety. You can help speed this up by ensuring all the documentation you have provided is correct and we have the correct referencing information.

What do I wear to work/do you have a uniform?

Priory do not operate a uniform policy however, when working in our homes/hospitals we would ask that all of our colleagues adhere to smart casual clothing, and business dress in our head offices.

Candidates applying from overseas

Does Priory offer sponsorship for care assistants and support workers?
