PBS Practitioners
Our PBS Practitioners lead the implementation within their service, supporting residents, patients and colleagues to implement positive approaches to improve quality of life for those we support, while reducing restrictive practices.
Essential requirements: A formal qualification in PBS or a related field, and experience conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions for people presenting with challenging behaviour.

Senior PBS Practitioners
As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll lead the delivery of PBS across a region, providing direct support and empowering teams to implement approaches that enhance the wellbeing of those we support. This role involves guiding our practitioners and delivering PROACT-SCIPr-UK® training.
Essential requirements: You must be qualified or willing and able to work towards Instructor Level of PROACT-SCIPr-UK®.
We’re looking for passionate PBS practitioners with the following skills:
- Supporting people with autism, learning disabilities or challenging behaviour
- Conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions
- Leadership
- Delivering PBS training
- Reducing the use of restrictive practices
Plus, a formal qualification, such as:
- BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis
- MA or MSc in Autism Studies
- PBS/ABA Graduate Diploma
- PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)

PROACT-SCIPr-UK® training
Our PBS team work to ensure that PBS-informed practices are embedded within the support we provide across all of our services. PROACT-SCIPr-UK® is a values-based model of physical intervention and is BILD ACT approved. The model emphasises proactive work to reduce behaviours of concern, alongside the correct managment of incidents when they occur.
