Priory named in top 100 apprenticeship employers list 2025
At Priory, we believe in growing talent from within, and our commitment to apprenticeships is proof of that. We’ve been recognised as one of the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers in the UK by the Department for Education - ranking in the top 40 overall and third in healthcare.
Over £2 million has been invested into our apprenticeship programmes, helping us to develop the next generation of mental health and adult social care professionals. Right now, more than 600 colleagues are building their careers through apprenticeships at Priory, from entry-level roles to specialist qualifications.
Jayne Stutt, Priory’s chief people officer, said: “We believe passionately that care is a career. Our apprenticeships are one of the vital ways in which we invest in colleagues, helping them to progress in their careers and develop news skills. This benefits both the organisation, our colleagues, and the patients and residents we support."
Our apprenticeships offer clear and rewarding career pathways across healthcare, social care and a variety of support services. Priory's nurse degree apprenticeship programme has already enabled over 250 colleagues to qualify as registered nurses, while our expanding occupational therapy apprenticeship programme has seen its first graduates step into their roles, with 15 more student OTs currently in training.
While the majority of our apprentices work in direct care roles, we also provide opportunities in project management, IT, facilities and payroll, ensuring there’s a pathway for a wide range of skills and career ambitions.
