The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health.  The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services.  The hospital has residential facilities for 56 inpatients as well as day care and outpatient services. 

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant you will be a critical member of the ward team, supporting and assisting registered nurses in the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care.

Responsibilities include observing and monitoring the wellbeing of patients, participation in ward meetings and other meetings as required, maintenance of stock levels including pharmaceutical products.

the role holder will be responsible for helping promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient, relatives and carers which will include ensuring that infection control policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

The role holder will be expected to lead by example maintaining good professional relationships with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and queries.

The role holder will be expected to participate in the induction and training of new starters (Healthcare Assistants).

The role holder will have a minimum of two years' experience in Healthcare and will have undertaken venepuncture training.
