Priory Hospital Bristol is an elegant 18th century country residence set in beauiful parkland close to the centre of Bristol, less than 5 minutes away from the M32 leading directly onto the M4/M5 motorway.  Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group it has 77 beds over seven wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntingdon’s and Dementia. Personal Assistant to Medical Director

Job description includes duties as per Job Description of Medical Secretary but also to include-

1.         Lead Medical Secretary

The Medical Secretaries at Bristol Priory are managed by the Medical Director but this post supports the Medical Director in their management.

Duties include-

•           Overseeing appraisals, supervision, training, annual leave, sickness absence and return to work meetings of all Medical Secretaries and Mental Health Act administrators. Coordinating Medical Secretary invoicing for VCs.

2.         Role as PA to Medical Director

A)         Liaise with local agencies as needed to help recruit Locum Doctors

B)         Making sure all new doctors have appropriate IT access etc. prior to start

C)         Ensuring new doctors have appropriate welcome mentorship and timetable

D)        Coordinating speciality doctor and consultant on call rotas

E)         Helping Medical Director with administrative duties including appraisal, return to work meetings, annual leave, sick leave, SDN review, Monthly Medical Recruitment.

F)         Overseeing administration for grievances, complaint reports etc.

G)         General diary management;  arranging meetings as appropriate etc.
