Job Advert Role Description
Priory Hospital Bristol is an elegant 18th century country residence set in beautiful parkland close to the centre of Bristol, less than 5 minutes away from the M32 leading directly onto the M4/M5 motorway. Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group it has 77 beds over seven wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntingdon’s and Dementia.
Applications are welcome for a full time, fixed term Ward Manager on Lotus, our specialist Eating Disorder Unit. This is a full-time fixed term position to cover Maternity Leave. The end date for this position will be in line with the substantive postholder's return.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will be involved in the overall management of the ward, overseeing staff rotas and engagement, ensuring the highest standards are maintained in personal care and meeting the psychological needs of a diverse group of service users with varying degrees of eating disorders, affecting their mental and physical health. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. It is also important that you are able to work unsupervised with a high degree of autonomy and be able to motivate and guide your team, in a fast paced environment.
What you will need:
• A qualification or relevant experience in healthcare management to ward level
• Experience of working with Eating Disorders
• High levels of customer service
• A strong sense of responsibility & ownership
• Willingness to learn
• Effective communication skills
• Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude
