We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Support Service Manager to be instrumental in the implementation and ongoing management of Catering & Housekeeping Services strategy acting as the principle contact for the Priory for all stakeholders.

As the Corporate Support Service Manager, you need to be commercially aware, with the presence and personality to influence the day-to-day site operations, providing direction, guidance and support to all colleagues.

You’ll maximise the performance of the contracted services, leading by example and setting high standards, ensure agreed services levels are maintained at all times, whilst ensuring budget control is in line with the company strategy & policies.

Job Advert Location Description

You’ll be responsible for the quality management and cost control of the service areas provided by the business in collaboration with external service partners or its own subsidiaries. This includes at least the areas of catering, cleaning & service.

Regular reporting to the UK & Group Senior Leadership Team is expected, as well as supporting the Senior Management Team (SMT) at site level in delivering the required service levels.

Main tasks include:

  • Develop and maintain a professional and proactive business relationship with site management; promoting the Company strategy and development of services
  • Implementation and monitoring of the agreed site(s) budgets in the various service areas
  • Planning, coordination and execution of project-related status meetings with internal and external stakeholders as a basis for task, deadline and communication coordination
  • Establish & implement a continuous improvement process (qualitative & quantitative)

  • Strong leadership skills and experience of working as part of a team
  • Excellence in managing contractor relations to ensure they meet their agreed KPI/SLA
  • Friendly and approachable, with the management skills to develop and manage a team.
  • A "can-do" attitude.

Experience to include:

  • A seasoned practitioner with at least five years of managerial experience in facilities management or service, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • Proven experience of managing soft services
  • Proven financial control and management
  • Excellent PC skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel
