Job Advert Role Description
Newstead House is a 24/7 specialist residential service for adults who are on the autistic spectrum and have learning difficulties with complex care and support needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a home that is currently rated good with outstanding within responsive.
We require a highly motivated, experienced leader who has the drive and passion to deliver excellent quality of care and be instrumental within continuous improvement and achieving further outstanding ratings.
Our ideal candidate will
- Hold a relevant qualification within social care leadership
- Have experience within a similar leadership role, knowledge of supporting adults who have autism, complex learning difficulties and may display behaviours that challenge
- A strong work ethic, reliability and ability to build strong working relationships
- Have ability to effectively motivate and inspire a team to provide the highest quality of care
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confidence in making autonomous decisions
- Flexibility, positivity with a “can do attitude”
What we will expect from you
- Supporting the registered manager within the overall management of the service and deputising in her absence.
- Being an active member of the team, delivering quality care and leading by example
- The supervision, mentoring and coaching of the support team, providing quality induction
- Driving the team to provide the best outcomes for those we support
- Writing, implementation, reviewing and analysis of support planning
- Rota management and on call duties
- Quality governance inclusive of auditing, review and evaluation
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Experience within managing absence and disciplinary procedures
- Administration and management of medication
- Demonstrate a commitment to both own professional development and that of the wider team
