Job Advert Role Description
The Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health issues both as inpatients and day patients. Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has a specialist Eating Disorders unit. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon, and Bromley areas and parking is available locally.
We are looking for a motivated sessional therapist to support the delivery of group therapy to inpatients on Saturday mornings. The role will be based on our private inpatient ward, for inpatients with general adult mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with a range of adult mental health issues on a group basis in a similar setting, and will hold a qualification in a relevant therapeutic modality, together with relevant accreditation with a professional organisation, such as the BACP, BABCP, UKCP, or HCPC.
The role will involve the provision of psycho-educational group therapy to inpatients who require therapeutic intervention, and a good knowledge of CBT, risk assessments, and risk management is essential.
In addition, there will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a caseload of outpatients for individual therapy outside of the group programme.
