Job Advert Location Description

We are recruiting for a registered Mental Health Nurse to take on a nights shift pattern on our Alder ward as part of our acute service.


The Acute service at Cheadle is a 29-bedded service made up of two separate units: Maple and Alder. Both are mixed sex units providing care for adults aged 18 and over. The units operate a 24-hour admission service supporting local NHS trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups, taking both informal and formal patients.


The units provide assessment and treatment for acute mental health conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bi-polar Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Personality Disorders. The ethos of the units is to provide support in times of crisis and to offer therapeutic engagement during the inpatient stay.


Alder Unit is a 14 bedded mixed gender acute unit. The unit has built reputation of offering evidence based comprehensive care and treatment for patients with varied range of psychiatric presentation with serious risk to self and/or others

Job Advert Role Description



As an RMN you will be working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide excellent bespoke care to enable our patients to fulfil their recovery goals and work towards building a bright future after discharge for all service users within your care.


Knowledge and skills required:


• Qualified Registered Nurse Adult with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship or equivalent programme.

• Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practices.

• Evidence of post registration continuing professional development.

• Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.

• Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise.

• Excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills, IT literate
