We specialise in male patients who need conditions of low security in which to recover, and from where they can re-enter the community. The Role
As chef it will be your responsibility to plan, prepare and present high quality fresh food and hospitality for our patients and staff. Working to the highest of standards, ensuring dietary requirements are met. You will:
- Work alongside the Support Services Manager, other chefs and catering assistants with menu creations, ensuring a nutritious, varied menu is available
- Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations
- Manage food budgets and stocks, checking deliveries as required and placing them in the appropriate storage areas.
- Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen
We are looking for a confident individual with a creative flare, who has relevant experience in a similar sized kitchen. Qualifications in food hygiene, prep and cookery would be desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant will be working on a shift rota of any five days from seven, alternate weekends but no evening work. Usual shift from 08:00 - 16:00 or 10:00 - 18:00.
