Job Advert Role Description

We don’t just talk about putting employees first. We know that Priory wouldn’t exist without their combined energy, expertise and effort.  So we invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, promote collaborative teamwork and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.

Hazelwood House is a 14 bedded low secure unit for adults with a primary diagnosis of Learning disability and secondary mental health issues. We have a strong focus on recovery and enabling patients to reintegrate back into the community.

We are part of the Priory group and you will work closely with other clinicians in the region based at Lincoln, Mansfield & Nottingham. We have an amazing opportunity for a clinician to work at our small friendly site (rated as Outstanding by CQC). At Priory, we believe in investing in people so we are considering applications from Responsible Clinician's or those who already have Responsible Clinician status. Candidates must be section 12 approved.

As RC you would lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals from nursing, clinical psychology, occupational therapy who will form part of the MDT. You are expected to review treatment plans, coordinate discharge and liaise with Commissioners regarding admission, progress update and discharge planning.

You should be a good team player and be keen to participate in a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, formulation and management plans. The consultant agrees to hold and continue registration with the GMC including the relevant Specialist Register. The consultant will be expected to provide evidence of their registration, if requested, by the Hospital Director or Chief Medical Officer.

You must possess highly sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills as these are critical to gain the trust and build the confidence of patients, in order for treatments and interventions to be effective and successful.

You must have the ability to work autonomously to agreed short and medium term objectives and able to understand the impact your actions will have on the care of the patient and the workings of the multi-disciplinary team.

You must be a good problem solver and be able to use your systemic knowledge, experience and creative thinking and translate best practice and evidence based research into practical operational solutions.

Priory operates a non-residential medical on call rota and the post holder is expected to participate on the on-call rota which is on a second on call basis.

If you are interested in looking around or discussing this amazing opportunity, please call Nikki on 01246 856 565 for further details.
