Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Enfield is a 53 bed hospital in the Borough of Enfield and is situated with very good transport links. The site provides services in both a forensic setting (male medium secure & low secure) and acute services (mixed sex). The hospital can cater for up to 53 patients at one time across the four wards.

We are looking for qualified Physicla Health Nurse (RGN) who has a passion for ensuring patients within our hospital receive the physical healthcare they need. The successful candidate will work across the wards liaising with the ward staff, Consultants and visiting healthcare professionals. They will play a key role in developing physical health care plans with patients (training can be provided).

The role is supported by visiting GP one session a week.

The successful candidate will have a degree of autonomy within the role and they will be able to manage their own diary. They will have their own clinic room where they will assess and treat patients but there will also be an expectation that they see patients on the ward.

The successful candidate will be responsible for complete audits around patient's physical health and feeding the results into the hospital's Clinical Governance meetings to ensure the team are aware of the physical health status of the patients.

The successful candidate will be expected to chair monthly physical health meetings with Service User representatives and members of the MDT. They will be responsible for overseeing Infection Prevention & Control in the hospital for which additional training will be provided.
