Job Advert Location Description
Kneesworth House is a 140 bed mental health hospital situated in Cambridgeshire (on the borders of Hertfordshire) with good commuting access to / from London. The hospital has a full pathway of care including medium, low secure, locked rehabiltation and open recovery wards situated across the site.
Job Advert Role Description
This post will initially be split between the male MSU personality disorder unit and the acute service. After around six months, it is anticipated the post will be across the male LSU mental illness unit and the acute service.
The psychologist joining our service will be expected to provide
• A specialist psychology service to people with a mental disorder/personality disorder through developing specialist psychological formulations and assessments, formulating plans for their psychological treatments
• Implementing specialist psychological interventions for individuals and groups as per NICE & best practice guidelines.
• To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals.
• To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
• To supervise assistant and trainee psychologists as required
