We are looking for maternity cover for our Clinical Lead position at our specialist Eating Disorder Unit. The right person will be dedicated to patient centred care and a strong people manager, perhaps looking to gain experience as the next step in their career and make a real difference to peoples lives.

We have an 'Outstanding' in Caring from the CQC and 'Good' in all other domains.

Together we will reflect on, explore and understand the patient's needs, helping them to develop the skills to build a new positive outlook, confidence and skills for a positive future.  We will work through the process of creating a personal identity outside of their eating disorder as well as helping to build social networks within the community.

The job holder must currently hold a full clean driving licence and have been qualified for 3 years.   

Reporting into the Hospital Director, the Clinical Lead forms part of the hospital Senior Management Team and is wholly responsible for the clinical services operation (nursing and therapy) within the hospital. The post holder will ensure the highest level of patient care is provided to all patients.

Responsibilities of this role:
Full managerial responsibility for the effective operation and delivery of clinical services through a large team of permanent colleagues and bank workers providing clinical care and treatment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Budgets & Equipment:
Delegated authority for the clinical services budget and for the care, security and maintenance of equipment and other consumables within the hospital.

Responsibility for the confidentiality, security and accuracy of patients records, data and information. Ensuring that good quality patient documentation which meets regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements.

All Priory Group colleagues have a responsibility to safeguard the individual’s we care for, these may be adults and children or individuals connected to the people Priory Group supports. Colleagues must ensure they are aware of the local child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures in their service, in addition to who to contact within the Local Authority Safeguarding Team for further advice. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.

What we need from you:
•           A registered with the NMC, HCPC or Social Work England
•           A recognised post-registration qualification together with full membership / accreditation of a relevant professional institution and evidence of continuous professional development
•           A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential
•           Passionate about providing high quality care and continuous improvement
•           Demonstrated leadership and decision making skills essential
•           Forward thinking, proactive and creative
•           The ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment
•           High levels of integrity and boundaries

Experience we're looking for:

•           Experience of working at a supervisory or managerial level within a mental health environment; minimum 2 years working as a Ward Manager or equivalent
•           Experience of managing a clinical budget
•           Strong background within leadership and people management
•           Experience of leading, implementing and reviewing quality initiatives in a related environment
•           Strong track record of innovation.
