Priory Woodland View is a 31-bedded locked rehabilitation and recovery service for men requiring a positive environment to develop positive self-management and independent skills for a successful discharge into the community.

The hospital is set in a rural location and offers a perfect environment to reintegrate back into the community

Based in the centre of England, we offer true holistic care through our specially formulated Clinical Programmes.

Job Advert Role Description

Priory Woodland View are recruiting for Activities Co-ordinators We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our healthcare team.

In this role, you will become one of the first lines of support for our service users and be responsible for providing compassionate care during their time with us.

Supporting the Nursing and Occupational Therapy team as an Activities Coordinator, you will work towards creating a meaningful activity-based culture.

You will be expected to use technical and creative skills to assist in developing, delivering and coordinating programmes focused on social, recreational and leisure activities. The aim will be to provide meaningful activity that is both fun and constructive, and complementary to the therapy provided by the team at Woodland View.

You will be responsible for establishing 1:1 rapports with service users to help evolve and shape their daily activities to increase engagement.

With a strong emphasis on their individual needs to support the treatment plans you will plan and implement activities around their interests.

To complement the work of the Occupational Therapy Team you will develop links with community-based resources to support service users to engage in local activities. This will help develop roles and routines, which will support occupational participation and encourage service users to adopt a more active lifestyle.

You will prepare, risk assess and implement a range of activities and events, and will contribute to gathering assessment information, where you will record facilitated sessions.
