We are currently recruiting for a full time Specialty Grade Doctor to join our team on-site at Cheadle Royal. 

Job Advert Role Description


Cheadle Royal is an inpatient Mental Health Hospital set within 33 acres of grounds and home to 14 wards, multiple service lines and 151 beds. The multi-disciplinary teams on-site provide high quality care for our service users in order to aid their recovery and provide them with a brighter future!
We have upcoming vacancy for a Specialty Grade Doctor to work within each of our Acute Adult Services.   
Specialty Grade Doctor - Maple Ward - 15 bedded mixed acute ward
Specialty Grade Doctor - Alder Ward - 14 bedded mixed acute ward
Working within the Adult Acute Service line, you will be supervised and supported by consultants who have a keen interest in medical education and career development, between them having College Tutor and RCPsych CASC Examiner experience.  The vacancies on Alder and Maple have arisen due to the current post holders moving to Core and Higher Training, respectively.
Both consultants are highly invested in supporting your career aspirations and progression. With you, they will develop bespoke opportunities to facilitate this, be that through weekly supervision, examination practice, involvement in management opportunities, teaching and Quality Improvement initiatives, to name but a few.   
The successful candidates will work closely alongside established Multidisciplinary teams. They will deliver excellent clinical care for our patients, to help them achieve their recovery goals and work towards a successful discharge.  
The posts have an on call commitment, currently at 1:10 frequency.  Cheadle Royal has multiple other service lines including: CAMHS, Eating Disorders, PICU and Rehabilitation Services - the opportunity for you to have wider learning and development is therefore very significant.  
The candidates will join a cohesive and supportive group of Specialty Grade and Consultant colleagues.
