Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Assistant.  Days to be agreed.

The role holder must possess the skills and knowledge in the following areas:-


*  To have a proactive approach in the identification/resolution of

*  Experience of general painting/redecoration works.
*  Awareness of general plumbing including carrying out water
    temperature checks and plant room checks.

*  Electrical awareness so that you can become familiar with the
    buildings electrical safe isolation points.

*  Experience of carrying out fire safety checks ensuring all paperwork is completed.

*  Have a basic undertanding of what contractors are doing when
    carrying out planned maintenance tasks. 

*  The ability to become familiar with the building layout and access to

*  Experience of dealing with COSHH substances and the Health &
   Safety rules around these substances.

*  Be competent in Manual Handling techniques.

*  Have good IT skills and be able to resolve any local IT issues (connecting PC's/networks & Printers).

*  Hold a full clean driving licence.

*  Good time keeper and good customer service skills.

*  May be required to work alone and follow lone working procedures.

*  Experience of managing contractors whilst on site ensuring they are
    inducted and comply to the sites Health & Safety Arrangements.

*  Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by
    your Line Manager.


*  Arranging Servicing and MoT of Pool Car.

*  Maintaining Gardens & Grounds.
