Hazelwood House is a low secure unit for adult males with learning difficulties and mental health needs based near Chesterfield and we were recently rated as outstanding by the CQC.

We have a strong focus on recovery and enabling patients to live fullfiled lives. 

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a person who is patient focused. We would prefer experience in working with learning disability but will consider applicants with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication. 2. Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation / progress. 3. Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff. 4. Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards. 5. Contributes to business growth by actively promoting priory therapy services in line with the local units’ business plan. 6. Maintains effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient’s rehabilitation.

Currently, in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act you are required to be double vaccinated against Covid-19 and to provide evidence of this before you are able to commence employment with us, or provide a valid medical exemption.  Albeit this still remains the case, the Government has recently announced their intention to reconsider this under the Health and Social Care Act.  Therefore, you are invited to submit your application, with the understanding that should the current position be repealed your application would be progressed in line with Priory’s recruitment policy.
