Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. 

Rated 'good' by the CQC in 2021, the hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health issues both as inpatients and day patients. Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has a specialist Eating Disorders unit and NHS acute service. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon and Bromley areas and parking is available locally.
The Hospital is situated in a leafy setting, with excellent public transport links to central London, Croydon and the surrounding Borough of Bromley areas. Free car parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the hospital.

We are now recruiting for a Deputy Ward Manager to work as part of the nursing leadership team within our Mental Health Acute and Eating Disorder Unit. The Applicant will take an active part in providing senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. They will have clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall. They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the Ward Manager and will have supervisory responsibilities for an agreed group of staff. The role holder will be expected to participate fully with the clinical team and undertake direct patient care and is required to have effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt their style as appropriate to the environment they are communicating.

Applicants should have the following experience/qualifications:

• Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council RMN/ RNLD with post registration experience within a mental health setting/ environment, meeting the requirements of Revalidation 
• Trained Assessor/Supervisor 
• Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable 
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership 
• Good computer skills Experience 
• At least 18 Months – 2 years’ experience post-registration 
• Demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality
