We are seeking an organised, dedicated and enthusiastic Administration Manager to join our small, friendly team.

The successful candidate will provide efficient, professional and effective administrative support to the Head Teacher ensuring that  policies and procedures are used appropriately.

The role will involve: 

  • Managing, organising and co-ordinating administrative and support services within the school.
  • Providing expertise and guidance whilst managing performance and supporting professional development.
  • You will be required to produce regular and ad hoc management information and reports ensuring these meet regulatory, statutory and compliance requirements.
  • Managing and co-ordinating external and internal communications, prioritising accordingly and ensuring appropriate action is taken and all relevant individuals are involved/informed.

You will provide secretarial support to the Head Teacher, working effectively with all SLT members and support functions, as well as line manage administration and housekeeping staff. Further to that, you will contribute to the annual budget planning process and will have responsibility for the day-to-day Administration budget.

This role requires highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills in order to deal with a range of challenging situations, researching information and communicating effectively at all levels.

All work will be lead and managed by you as directed by the Head Teacher.

  • A relevant Business Qualification e.g. NVQ5 in Management, HND/BTEC, CIPD etc is desirable.
  • Successful candidate will ideally have at least 5 years relevant experience including having previously worked at a senior PA/Administrator level, including some supervisory responsibility.

Sedgemoor Manor is a specialist day school registered for young people who have needs associated with a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum/SPLD and are aged between 10 and 18 years.
