The Priory Hospital Preston is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health.  The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services.  The hospital currently has residential facilities for 38 inpatients. The Hospital provides Adult inpatient care across 2 Acute wards and 1 Eating Disorder ward

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to recruit a Level 2 Apprentice Chef to work at The Priory Hospital Preston on a fixed term basis of 12 months.

The focus of the role is to assist with the provision of a catering service within Priory Hospital Preston with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals. As part of the catering team, you will ensure that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards.
The successful candidate will be required to work a 2 week shift pattern of 5 over 7 days, shift pattern 8.00am – 4pm, 9.00am – 5.00pm or 10am – 6pm with alternative weekends off

To be over 18
Maths and English understanding and functional application at Level 2
Driving Licence (Desirable)
Committed and enthusiastic
Able to use own initiative
Excellent organisational capability
Effective communication skills
Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude
