We are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of support workers at our specialist service in East Ardsley. 

Woodhouse Cottage is an all-male service providing assisted support for 6 gentleman. Woodhouse Cottage is staffed by an all-male staff team. The building is a detached 6  bedded cottage with all en suite facilities. The bedrooms are all located upstairs. All service users can come and go freely with open door policies and no key coded lock to the doors. The building comprises of several communal areas to engage with various activities.

As a support worker you will be supporting our residents with their day to day lives, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You may get involved in exciting activities outside of the home too –such as going to the cinema, gym, playing pool and snooker.

The service users are very independent and don’t display physical challenging behaviour. Virtually no personal care (only prompts to attend to it). 

Our ideal support worker will:

Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our service users achieve their everyday goals 
Be able to support in house activities and hobbies
Be attentive and inspire our residents to achieve more!
Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge

Whilst drivers are able to take residents out and about, you don’t need to be a driver to work here – we employ many non-drivers too!
