Job Advert Role Description

   Priory Woodland View is a 31-bedded locked rehabilitation and recovery service for men requiring a positive environment to develop positive self-management and independent skills for a successful discharge into the community. Based in the centre of England, we offer true holistic care through our specially formulated Clinical Programmes. The hospital is set in a rural location and offers a perfect environment to reintegrate back into the community

Reporting into the Hospital Director, the Director of Clinical Services (DoCS) forms part of the hospital Senior Management
Team and is wholly responsible for the clinical services operation (nursing and therapy) within the hospital. The post holder
will ensure the highest level of patient care is provided to all patients.

 The DoCS will play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital’s quality strategies, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team.
  Ensure Eroster and related nursing resourcing tools are utilised effectively and efficiently. Ensuring that the resources available to deliver nursing care are deployed to best effect and the use of overtime, bank and agency is closely controlled
  Oversee nursing recruitment and retention, and nurse related training
  Ensure delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators.
 Take responsibility for the clinical assessment of new referrals
  Provide professional nursing advice on quality governance issues to nursing staff at site, promoting high standards of care and development of clinical practice.
   Support wards to prepare for Regulatory body inspections and Internal Benchmarking and Health and Safety inspections.
 Deliver coaching and training as necessary in relation to developing and improving quality and practice.
  Develop, manage and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
 Ensure all contractual quality elements are met, working with respective service lines including reporting of the same.
 Expected to take part in the senior management on call rota.
