Job Advert Role Description

Kent House is a Low Secure Mental Health Hospital for young women 12 to 18 years of age who are detained under the Mental Health Act. It also has an Ofsted Registered school attached dedicated to support the young people with all aspects of education.

The service, on the outskirts of Orpington, has close links and transport to the local community and amenities.

We provide compassionate care for the young women admitted in a supportive environment adhering to the principles of Positive Behaviour Support, underpinned by thorough risk assessment and management. We are members of the Royal College of Psychiatry Quality Network for CAMHS.


To lead on local recruitment fairs with responsibility for ensuring that there is attendance from the site and where appropriate leaders who can hold interviews on the day.
• To manage all candidates through Harbour and to ensure candidates are contacted within 24 hours to maintain interest.
• Responsibility for setting up all interviews, liaising with managers and 
candidates and to provide interview questions as required.
• To ensure that every candidate provides a copy of their passport, right to work and proof of address at interview stage and copies are made and authenticated with signature.
Liaise and work with the Healthcare Pre-Employment team regarding the compliance process.
Responsibility for ensuring all bank and permanent colleagues’ data is maintained.
• Maintain colleague files in a manner in line with Company policy and ensure they are secure at all times.
• Responsibility for preparing the payroll data for upload on or before the cut-off date.
• Ensure that all staff amendment forms are completed fully and are sent to Healthcare Payroll in a timely manner
• Use Prospects to track the candidate progress and to support the Pre-Employment team with chasing for documents as required.
• Ensure that when a candidate is compliant that a start date is agreed within 24 hours and the Pre-Employment team are updated.
• Maintain contact with the candidate during this process weekly.
