Job Advert Role Description

Due to staff progression our Children's Home in Whiston, Rotherham, are currently recruiting a Team Leader to join our team.

To get you off to the best start with us, we will be including a £500 bonus! You will receive £250 when you first start, and then a further £250 upon successful completion of your probationary period!*

At our home in Whiston we have a professional, diverse and supportive team from a range of backgrounds that support our young people with everyday activities and day trips as well as emotional and behavioural difficulties.  We also achieved a ‘Good’ grading at our most recent Ofsted Inspection.

Our home currently supports 4 boys between the age of 9 - 18 that have emotional and behavioural difficulties and complex diagnoses such as ASD.  Your support will keep you active and occupied providing you with a range of new experiences whilst supporting our young people to build their self-esteem and learn life skills.

Our young people do have behaviours that challenge so you will need to be emotionally resilient and able to cope with change.  Due to the needs of our young people, we are specifically looking for candidates who drive.

As part of your role, you must have at least a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or relevant Health and Social Care equivalent.


  • Shift patterns: Early 7:30am - 15:30pm, late 14:00pm - 22:30pm & Full Day 7:30am - 22:30pm
  • Occasional sleep in duties may be required at £35 per shift.
