Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital Norwich is our new acute service which was opened in June 2020. In last 18 months we have invested heavily in Priory Hospital Norwich in order to revitalise or service and ensure that we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. We are currently in the process of a phased opening and are looking for candidates who are committed to being a part of our long term journey. We are a busy acute unit aiming to offer a high standard of care and deliver great outcomes for patients. We are looking for a clinical/counselling Psychologist to work within our acute service which cater for patients from throughout the UK.

Job Advert Role Description

 The role includes managing a caseload, working with patients both individually and in a group setting, and attending MDT meetings, family meetings and case conferences. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team is of key importance.

You must be registered with HCPC.

 

As an Acute Hospital we can offer you the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment and in-house training opportunities are provided for staff at all levels.

 

We are looking for someone who:

Is registered with the HCPC as a Psychologist.

Has some experience of working within mental health.

Has training in clinical and psychological psychometrics

Has skills in individual and group work and in programme planning.

Has skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment to inform the psychological formulation and intervention.

Has well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, complex, highly technical and / or clinically sensitive information

Has some experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care.
