With typical class sizes of 4 we are able to provide the care, attention, time and dedication to all of the young people to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations.

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational SEN teacher to join our teaching team, with proven track records in achieving high standards of quality.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent classroom practice
  • Be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of working with children with a wide range of special educational needs, including those with complex autism, trauma and attachment related conditions and will further build on a reputation of high quality specialist support for young people with complex learning needs.
  • Have significant experience of using recognised and appropriate teaching strategies for this group of learners.
  • Be a team player who is able to motivate, lead and support teams of colleagues,
  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with parents, carers and liaise with other professionals,
  • Be a professional with vision, creativity, drive and enthusiasm who will contribute to the development of our school,
  • Be an individual who aspires for professional development and career development

The successful candidate would preferably have experience in Key stage 2 planning and delivery which can be transferable to key stage 3 learners. The teacher will be responsible for a group following a timetable (primary model), with personalised aspects planned where necessary. Teachers on the upper pay spine would be expected to lead on key areas linked to the school development plan.

A clean driving licence and own transport is essential due to the location of the school.

In place is new local leadership that brings experience and recognition of the challenges and pressures that other establishments in SEN face. We enable staff to bring their skills, ideas and creativity to the school to contribute to the ethos and shared values.
