Job Advert Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Mental Health Act Administrator to join our team for a period of 12 months covering Maternity Leave.  The post will commence January 2022.  Reporting to the Hospital Director you will be responsible for providing administrative duties to ensure we are compliant with the Mental Health Act.


As a Mental Health Act Administrator you will be required to co-ordinate the accurate and timely completion and processing of section papers and associated documentation ensuring the relevant information, signatories and permissions are obtained and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the Mental Health Act (MHA).  You will liaise with a wide range of parties, receive and respond to enquiries and requests for information, arrange all associated meetings and ensure the effective and timely production, collation and distribution of reports, minutes and other relevant documentation. The successful candidate will be competent in the use of standard office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  Experience within a relevant administrative or clinical role would be advantageous.   Strong organisation and communication skills are essential.
