Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital Newbury is a 34 bedded hospital, set within a peaceful environment on the edge of Newbury. Working in partnership with NHS Trusts, the unit offers inpatient individualised treatment and rehabilitation to patients who have mental health problems and require support to increase their recovery and independence with a view to enabling them to leave the hospital and live in varying levels of supported living accommodation

We are looking to recruit a trustworthy, dynamic, reliable and motivated individual to join our Catering team, to work on a Sunday, 7.45am - 6.15pm.

Working under the guidance of senior catering staff, you will be required to support in the provision of the catering operation and assist with both the preparation and cooking of meals, whilst ensuring that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures. You will be responsible for assisting in delivering meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the hospital in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring that all the catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for. You will also be responsible for appropriate use of various pieces of catering equipment.

The role holder requires basic numeracy and literacy skills together with an appreciation of basic food hygiene.
