We are now seeking a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of a variety of projects covering but not limited to development, systems and business change, leading the project delivery function within the team and to be accountable for the delivery of a complex portfolio of projects.

This role will work with the Programme Manager, Suppliers, Central and Operation teams to plan and develop the future strategic projects and programmes for the organisation in line with the group business plan. 

The main responsibilities for the role will be:

  • Management responsibility for the projects within the group, including the direct management of several projects and providing support to the Project Managers to deliver their projects.
  • To support the development of business cases and plans to exploit current and future business opportunities, contributing to the current position and future strategy for project management within the group.
  • Deliver projects efficiently, within budget and planned timescales, managing the risk and resourcing of the projects and working with senior teams and steering groups to prioritise effectively during the lifecycle of the projects/programmes.
  • Ensure that projects deliver the required products and benefits, to the required standards of quality and within the specified constraints of time and budget. 
  • Identify, manage business risk and project change, including the development of mitigation and contingency plans across the projects and the portfolio.
  • With the support and guidance of the Programme Manager, coach and mentor Project Managers to successfully meet the needs of the group.
  • Prepare and present project reporting within the Project Team, at a project level and to the wider business as required, including the delivery of presentations at Board level. 
  • Full adherence to Aspris project governance to ensure embedding of project management methodology, maintaining the pace of delivery in an Agile-by-default environment.

PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent is required.
