Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital East Midlands is comprised of:

  • Harris Ward - a low secure continuing care ward for females
  • Littlemore Ward - female psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU)
  • Barton Ward - an acute ward for females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders

The service will be dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patient’s recovery and re-engagement with the community.

Job Advert Role Description

Ideal candidate should have experience of at least 1 specialism and be willing to train in the other areas including food preparation, housekeeping and reception. Full training will be given to cover the necessary gaps.

Food Preparation;

- Undertakes the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.

- Ensuring operational standards comply with the company’s Food Safety policies and guidelines and statutory regulations.

Housekeeping;

- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.

- Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all home areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.

- Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department or home manager to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.

Reception;

- Delivers an efficient and high quality front of house and reception service to assist the well-being and development of patients, as well as relatives, suppliers, staff and any other visitors.

- Supports and uses initiative to carry out out administrative tasks as required.

- Ensures the appropriate security passes are issued, as well as then directing the visitor to the appropriate areas or individuals within the unit.

- Ensures the maintenance of the reception and waiting area environments to high standards, ensuring that any housekeeping or maintenance issues are reported to the appropriate teams.
