Job Advert Role Description

The role of housekeeper is part time with working hours typically being 9.30am -2.30pm with some flexibility on hours for the right candidate.

The Leyland based children’s homes care for young people with Autism and challenging behaviour and we require an experienced housekeeper to work in the children’s homes. The successful candidate will be expected to cover all aspects of housekeeping and 2 years previous experience in a cleaning post would be desirable. At times you may be asked to work across other sites within the local area and you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the homes. Owning your own vehicle is essential and you will ideally have clean driving licence. Any mileage incurred can be claimed back as part of expenses.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check which will be paid for by Aspris.

Typical daily duties to include :

  • Thorough cleaning of all areas of the children’s home.
  • To follow daily cleaning schedules and ensure appropriate paperwork in completed
  • To follow Health and Safety guidelines in line with company policies.
  • To report anything that may need maintenance assistance to your line manager.
  • Toilets and bins to cleaned and emptied daily.
  • Some responsibilities for preparation of meals may be required dependent on experience.

The successful individual will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance. You will have a good knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to your role and will ensure it is adhered to.
