The Priory Hospital Middleton St George is located close to Darlington, County Durham and provides individualised treatment and care for people with mental health needs of adults who present with complex and challenging behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment. Our comprehensive integrated services offer complete care pathways allowing service users to transfer effortlessly between the most appropriate care, meeting individual needs enabling recovery and re-engagement within the community and maximising life opportunities.

Our multi-disciplinary teams provide care for up to 101 male and female service users, working collaboratively with their commissioners, across our 7 wards and our nearby community house.  We deliver acute and  recovery and rehabilitation environment which includes a specialist female Personality Disorder service.  Our focus is on the delivery of excellent care, empowering service users to progress towards the least restrictive setting and towards independence.  Our vision is to place our Service Users at the heart of our service provision, working closely with them and their carers to support their recovery and rehabilitation.

We are looking for a keen and resourceful HR Co-ordinator to join our Human Resources team.  The successful candidate will be joining at an exciting time where we are actively seeking to expand our wider staff team through recruitment and to increase our retention through increased employee engagement.
As a HR Co-ordinator you will provide efficient, professional and effective support to the HR & Senior Management team, ensuring the company’s human resources policies and procedures are used appropriately in relation to the employment of staff at The Priory Hospital Middleton St George. 
You will assist in the recruitment and selection of employees, provide administrative support to managers, handle external and internal enquiries, and ensure the effective operation of administrative processes and procedures. You will work closely with site leadership to help define and develop avenues and methods of attracting candidates of the highest quality, ensuring site is effectively utilising and engaging with candidates and offering posts in line with the agreed service level agreements and budgets. You will ensure recruitment processes are adhered to in line with business and legislative requirements and organise and facilitate recruitment assessment centres and job fair events. There will also be the requirement to deliver sessions on our induction to new starters, in relation to different HR and Training related topics.
As a HR Co-ordinator you will help co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of company policies and engagement and retention initiatives at a local level in liaison with the central support functions and management teams across site. 
You will also help promote absence management throughout the management team on site and organise and coordinate capability development training ensuring all staff receive the appropriate level and type of training and development required and ensure development programmes are implemented to build local capability.
This is a full time (37.5 hrs), permanent role with a salary of up to £25,000 per annum pro rata (depending upon experience and qualifications). Candidates should be educated to A-Level or equivalent and should be prepared to study for a CIPD qualification. Previous experience of working within a Human Resources department is desirable. The successful applicant will be required to work 5 days per week between the hours of 9 am – 5 pm and will be able to demonstrate the following skill set:
