Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital Arnold provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust at our purpose built facility in Arnold. We work closely with referring Trusts to achieve minimum lengths of stay, and are able to provide an extension to NHS care pathways during times of fluctuating demand. The service offers a multidisciplinary team approach, working collaboratively to support patients through periods of crisis. The hospital comprises of 4 wards, 2 Acute wards and 2 PICU wards with a total of 52 inpatient beds. 

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated recovery wellness worker to join our team. The post holder will deliver activities for patients which provide daily structure, support skills, development and recovery. This may include some aspects of personal care.

1.Supports senior staff with patient screening and assessments as part of the care and therapy planning process.

2. Prepares, plans and delivers group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting patient responses to the assigned clinician as appropriate.

3. Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files and computerised information systems as directed. 4. Contributes to surveys, audits and clinical research projects assisting with collection, analysis and presentation of data and information as directed.

5. Observes and monitors the well being of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to more senior staff and documented as appropriate.

The successful candidates will work with 3 other activities co-ordinators and provide cover to the 4 wards over a 7 day period. Therefore some weekend work is required as well as helping provide services into the evening period as well. We are flexible with hours in order that a service is provided to all patients and wards 7 days per week.
