Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Hospital Newbury are excited to be launching an updated service after a period of expansion and improvements now offering a 34 bed Recovery and Rehabilitation service for men with enduring mental ill health problems. We are set on the southern outskirts of Newbury and have excellent public transport links to London which is just a 50 minute train journey.

Within the service is a care pathway offering an admission ward, a community facing ward, a longer term ward for patients with more complex needs and also a 4 bed flat for patients who are returning to independent living in the community. The site is warm and welcoming with a homely atmosphere.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to recruit a trustworthy, dynamic, reliable and motivated individual to join our Catering team, to work on a Sunday, 3.15pm - 6.15pm.

Working under the guidance of senior catering staff, you will be required to support in the provision of the catering operation and assist with both the preparation and cooking of meals, whilst ensuring that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures. You will be responsible for assisting in delivering meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the hospital in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring that all the catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for. You will also be responsible for appropriate use of various pieces of catering equipment.

The role holder requires basic numeracy and literacy skills together with an appreciation of basic food hygiene.
