Job Advert - Division Information

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join the team and support our growing business. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel & Director of Legal, the Legal Administrator will be play a major part in providing administrative support within the Legal and Compliance Team to deliver, facilitate and maintain the efficient and excellent provision of legal services to all parts of the Priory Group

This role is based at our Hammersmith offices. 

 

Job Advert Role Description

Legal Administrator duties include but are not limited to:

Provide administrative support to the team - to include:
• log and distribute incoming mail including regular and electronic mail
• improve, organise and maintain paper and electronic filing systems in accordance with recognised procedures and standards
• prepare and edit correspondence, minutes, letters, memos, presentations and spreadsheets 
• provide administrative support including copying, scanning and faxing
• assisting with legal department invoicing
• undertake filing of documents at the Land Registry

Contract management – to include:  
• helping the business to execute contracts correctly 
• filing of original hardcopy contracts, and scanning soft copies 
• managing the register of contracts for complete record of all contracts 
• proactively taking steps on timely renewals by notifying the relevant parties of impending renewals 

Legal Department Operations – to include: 
• Assist Director of Legal with the design, development and management of legal department operations. 
• Manage and develop processes and implement systems for: retention and oversight of outside counsel, matter management and billing, and contracts management system.

Company Secretarial tasks – to include 
• Up-keeping the company books and records of Priory Group companies
• Updating company records on Companies House using our entity management system


What we would like from the Legal Administrator:

• Excellent attention to detail; problem solver; project manager and strong initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to work on projects to successful and    timely completion, often with deadline pressures.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously and proactively
• Strong research skills and an understanding of corporate formalities
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly
• Technically competent and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal administrator in a corporate legal department or law firm
• Experience in a multinational corporation preferred
• Strong academic record
