We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our children's home based in Northallerton.

The role of Residential Support Worker is, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the young people in their day to day lives to develop their independent living skills
  • Transport young people to education, appointments and family visits
  • Maintain young persons individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Nurture, guide and develop young persons positive experience
  • Offer a range of enrichment activities and outings
  • Attend relevant meetings regarding the young people
  • Undertake and participate in required training for this role.

A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for this role.
Successful applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour.

Due to the rural location of the home near Northallerton and duties involved supporting the young people, the successful candidate would need to be a car driver and have a valid driving licence.

A family is 24/7 and so are we. We use a rota system to ensure the young people in our home get the care they need. As a Residential Support Worker you will take part in a shift rota system that includes working some weekends and bank holidays. This role will include some double shifts with sleep in’s. Rotas are planned with advance notice.

Our home is specifically designed to accommodate young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a homely residential environment, situated within a semi-rural picturesque location close to Northallerton.  Our home offers a range of nurturing and stimulating experiences in a therapeutic environment and ensuring that young people are able to access a variety of activities and outings within the local community and wider areas.
