Job Advert Role Description

Our children’s home in Frome are recruiting for vibrant role models to join their team as a Night Support Worker on a part time basis. 

Our home is a comfortable, warm environment that supports the needs of children between the ages of 8 – 18 who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorder.  Our focus is to support our young people to develop life skills and independence in a fun, nurturing and understanding way.

As a Night Waking Support Worker, you will:

  • Support our young people during the evening/night as well as undertaking a number of admin and domestic tasks
  • Encourage positive behaviours and caring for the well-being of our service users
  • Be alert and observant with regards to the needs of our young people with Asperger's Syndrome
  • Provide personal care and participation in activities so energy and initiative is vital.

Bath Road is a specialist children's home for young people aged 7 to 18 who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).  The home is located in the market town of Frome in Somerset, with easy walking access to the local town centre.

The home provides residential provision for up to 52 weeks a year, is a stand alone children’s home, and is also linked to North Hill House and Newbury Manor Schools, both of which are in Frome.

The home’s focus is to promote the development of individual social behaviour, independence and personal skills and offering opportunities to practise these in real life settings. This ensures that our young people develop a positive outlook on life in a safe, warm, welcoming, structured and fun environment.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. Please be advised that references may be requested prior to interview for roles within our schools.
