Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to appoint a further Maintenance Technician who can deliver an effective and efficient range of services ensuring the buildings, equipment, machinery, fixtures and fittings are all installed, maintained and repaired in accordance with statutory regulations.  Preferably you will be a qualified electrician, plumber or carpenter but this is not essential.

Your duties will include working within a small team to complete general maintenance around the school which can be from changing a light bulb to fixing a leak, emergency light testing, fire testing, electrics and plumbing and dealing with any issues including general ongoing maintenance.

Unsted Park School is a specialist residential and day school/6th form college for children and young people aged 7 to 19 primarily with high functioning Autistic Spectrum Disorders.  We are committed to providing the highest level of education and care in a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve his or her maximum potential.

The focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion. Based on these core areas we provide individual, child-centred programmes which recognise individual abilities and strengths and help students to reach their full potential.  The school is supported by a therapy team consisting of Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Art Therapy staff  and assistants  who work closely with the educational and residential staff to meet students’ social and emotional  needs.
