Job Advert Role Description

Would you like to be part of a busy, vibrant and friendly Support Services team?

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Assistant, who has experience of painting and decorating who will provide an efficient and effective service for the school and our associated children's homes.  At the same time, extremely high standards of work are a must to ensure that our physical environments reflect the extremely high standards of care provided for our pupils and young people.

Working as part of the maintenance team and taking direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will carry out all aspects of painting and decorating internally and externally and may also support with basic maintenance tasks when needed.  You must have good trade skills and the ability to organise and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.

The successful applicant must be able to work independently with a high degree of skill and professionalism ensuring they work in line with quality standards and work processes comply with statutory regulations.  Security and safeguarding of our vulnerable young people must be maintained at all times.

This is a 52 week post.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a co-educational school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.
