We currently have an Deputy Residential Home Manager opportunity which is to cover support our Southampton based Home, Lawn House.

As an Deputy Residential Home Manager, you will be responsible for helping the Registered Manager run the home, providing day to day care for our young people, supporting them in activities, education and statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. You will also support in the supervision of a small team of residential support workers which includes mentoring, supervision meetings and training. The role involves providing support to the Registered Manager along with the ability to run shifts including organising, monitoring and evidencing young people's activities.

We will provide you with a full induction, competency and growth framework. This framework will ensure that you have competent training, mentoring and supervision to provide you with a chosen career path within social care which will be recognised with an attractive pay progression.

Experience of working within a Residential Childcare setting or working with young people with challenging behaviour is essential. All staff undertake relevant training to support with their progression within the business. A key aspect of the role is being able to think on your feet and be adaptable to different situations as they arise. When working in a children's home no two days are ever the same.

The successful candidate will need to have held a driving license for at least three years and have no more than six points.

This role is to start as soon as possible. This role is 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with an on call responsibility however there may be times when you will be required to work evening and weekend shifts when the need arises.
