The Priory Hospital Glasgow is Scotland's leading independent Acute Psychiatric Hospital.  We have a range of services including General Adult Psychiatry, Addictions and Eating Disorders. 

Job Advert Role Description

Minimum 2 years as a Healthcare Assistant in a similar environment. 

Support the Director of Clinical Services by undertaking scheduled clinical audit work to help support the hospital’s performance against its key performance targets and objectives.

• Update necessary clinical audit logs
• Analysis and preparation of audit data 
• Organising monthly clinical audit meetings and presentation of data and action plans/follow up actions
• Support the Medical Director in the administration of the necessary internal and external Child & Adult Protection reporting requirements, and subsequently liaising with internal team members and patients in terms of feedback as required.
• Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Update Child & Adult Protection audit log.
• Prepare Child & Adult Protection notification paperwork for distribution to relevant authorities.
• Participate in regular meetings as requested, including Clinical Governance.
• To receive and convey information from staff members (or directly from patients) in a courteous manner and ensure all persons are assisted in a welcoming and supportive manner
• Supporting Training Role in the hospital for Child & Adult Protection.

The nature of the role necessitates frequent interaction with management, staff and patients on the ward involving the regular exchange of routine information in person and over the telephone. Well-developed observational and listening skills are essential.

Knowledge and Skills required:
• Be an experienced Healthcare Assistant and thereby already have exposure to the clinical domain and a broad understanding of patient needs.
• Understands the need for strict confidentiality.
• Basic IT literacy and competent report writer.
