We currently have a vacancy at our children's home in Wisbech for a Deputy Manager.

You will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people.

Key accountabilities for this role:

  • To support the teams and personally manage and resolve behaviour issues or sensitive pastoral situations of young people
  • Ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
  • Informing senior management on issues where appropriate. 
  • Acting as a positive role model, provide leadership, and line management, and using own expertise for care teams contributing to their performance and professional development. 
  • Managing and supporting staff through effective performance management to maintain effective professional relationships with young people and related services. 

You will also undertake on call duties and manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

An NVQ 4 in relevant care/children and young people related area or a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent is required for this post. The role holder will be required to hold a current UK driving licence and undergo certified and mandatory training.
