Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Highbank Centre specialises in complex neuro-disability, including care of tracheostomy and mechanically ventilated patients.

If successful, you would become part of our dedicated interdisciplinary team who offer evidence-based approach to patient-centred care and therapy to help complex patients maximise their physical, emotional and social potential.

We work at  two sites in Bury with units treating children and adults, some at an active rehabilitation stage and some receiving continuing care.  

Job Advert Role Description

You will be an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with three years post qualification experience including some time in neurological settings.

Working as part of the inter-disciplinary team and under the supervision of the Clinical Specialist OT you will manage your own caseload and act as keyworker for an allocated number of patients.  You will work closely with medical and nursing colleagues and will provide supervision and guidance to therapy assistants.  You will maintain positive relationships with patients and their relatives and representatives.  You will attend Case Conferences for which you will provide accurate and detailed reports.  You will be part of a committed and creative team who work together and place emphasis on patient centred practice.
