Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Enfield is a 53 bed hospital in the Borough of Enfield and is situated with very good transport links. The site provides services in both a forensic setting (male medium secure & low secure) and acute services (mixed sex). The hospital can cater for up to 53 patients at one time across the four wards, and the responsibility for staffing the hospital is of vital importance.

We are looking to recruit an Administrator to work flexible, full time hours Monday to Friday. You be working very closely with the Mental Health Act Administrator, clinical and medical team to provide an efficient and professional administrative and secretarial support.

It is important that you work well in a team and you are able to prioritize your work load, including being able to recognize the level of importance of particular enquiries.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an administrative position and excellent written and verbal communication skills; with the role involving liaising with a number of stakeholders including colleagues, clinical staff and service users and their relatives. They will also need to be competent in using Microsoft Office software, with knowledge of Excel being an advantage, and have the ability to work under pressure.

The ward clerk will be responsible for managing the day to day administrative tasks of the wards such as diary management and meeting books whilst also ensuring all patient records and information is managed and maintained both electronically and in paper files. Ward Clerks will also be responsible for providing cross cover for other administrative departments.
