Job Advert Role Description

Family Therapy opportunities available (various levels of experience considered)

Salary Negotiable dependant on experience

Priory Group is the UK’S leading independent provider of mental health care and education services. We have an outstanding reputation both for the service we deliver and for the investment we make in our people and in our environment.

Set within landscaped gardens in Cheshire, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal (close to Manchester) offers a range of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services. We use an eclectic model of care and intervention, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches.

The Family Therapy team within our hospital is currently going through an exciting phase of regeneration and we are looking for dynamic individuals to help shape the future of the department.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic family therapists/systemic psychotherapists to work in our adult inpatient eating disorder and/or inpatient CAMHS units. The ideal candidates will have a core professional qualification, will have completed their family and systemic psychotherapy training and will be registered with the UKCP and AFT. They will be committed to working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The roles involve working systemically with families and supporting the multi-disciplinary teams to think systemically in formal and informal contexts. The roles will also involve work with individual families and contributing to the provision of the carer's support groups, which may involve some commitment to working outside of usual working hours.
