Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

Ben Madigan (formerly part of Amore Care) is a purpose-built nursing home, in Newtownabbey for over 60 older people. We support people with physical needs who require assistance and care.

The home is designed to meet the needs of older people with a comfortable lounge and a fabulous bar. The attractive enclosed gardens and patio provide residents with a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

Our approach to care for the people we support is based on the principle that each person is an individual with particular needs, likes and dislikes. We actively encourage our residents, their families and carers to be involved in care planning, their environment and daily activities. The homely and comfortable environment Ben Madigan provides enables us to provide person-centred care tailored to the needs of our residents.

Job Advert Role Description

The work is both interesting and varied. You will support the Clinical Teams who deliver specialist care to our residents, of course. But you will also play a major role in making the lives of our residents as happy and fulfilling as possible – not just by showing real warmth to them and their families, but by continuously looking for ways to engage their interest and enhance their experience every day.

Duties will be as follows

•  Process payroll for monthly and weekly paid staff using the Priory   

   Payroll systems working in conjunction with the Central Payroll


•  Undertake the full remit of recruitment administration in conjunction

   with the Service Manager and the Central Resourcing Team to ensure

   that candidates move successfully through the recruitment lifecycle.

•  Process expenses, orders, raise cheques, deal with suppliers on a

    regular basis.

•  The post holder will be responsible for petty cash reconciliation and

   dealing with client monies.

•  The post holder will deal with incoming queries to the service and

   must have excellent customer service skills.

•  Undertake preparation for meetings and take minutes at meetings as


•  Support the Service Manager and wider Service with Administration

   such as letters, memos, email communications.

•  Undertake diary management.

•  Any other duties requested by the Service Manager

Provides efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to the home, including document and report production, telephone enquiries, diary management, payroll input meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate.
