Job Advert Role Description

Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

Priory Hospital Chelmsford, located just outside London, is set within a beautiful Grade II listed, 19th century building, complete with three acres of private gardens. The hospital first opened in 1992 and since then, has established an excellent reputation for providing fast access to high quality treatment for a diverse range of mental health difficulties including addictions, depression, anxiety, and stress. We are also able to provide high quality therapy to individuals struggling with gender issues, low self-esteem, and those struggling with a diagnosis of HIV. Chelmsford is one of the UK’s leading treatment centres and is rated by former patients for its excellence, dedication, commitment to individuals, as well as producing outstanding treatment outcomes.

The role:

The post is a combined role to work across our NHS Acute adult inpatient service (1 day) and our private CAMHS outpatient service (4 days). Both services have an active MDT, and the successful candidate will be a key part of this, whilst leading and coordinating the therapy team in the private CAMHS outpatient service.

The role includes providing both individual and group therapy for adults and young people with a range of mental health presentations. The provision of supervision for colleagues may be required. It is essential to be HCPC registered with a substantial experience of working in acute mental health, to include experience with EUPD and ASD. Training or clinical experience in DBT is desirable.

A great opportunity for an experienced psychologist to continue their development and be a part of a caring and supportive team.
