Job Advert Role Description

Due to a reorganisation of our administrative support functions within the hospital, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Project Manager.

This role will have overall responsibility for managing business development, sales and marketing functions within the hospital with the overriding aim of assisting senior management to improve the performance of the hospital, as well as increasing the business activity level and revenue.

It will include managing the referral, assessment, admission and discharge processes to maximise bed occupancy.

Generally working to short and medium term operational objectives, the postholder will need to make decisions and work closely with the SMT on strategy and be required to attend the monthly SMT meeting in a supportive capacity.

The majority of problem solving is based on acquired knowledge and experience. There is a need for adaptive thinking, particularly when dealing with commissioners and case managers, generating solutions to patient referrals which have a commercial importance to secure services.

Therefore we are looking for someone with business acumen and highly developed associated skills, knowledge of working within a secure mental healthcare provision advantageous.

The post holder will ideally have a relevant business qualification such as HND/BTEC in Business Management or PRINCE2 qualification.
